More awesomeness from Dak-shi

Dak-shi has made another poster for me (she also made on for my poem "the deep and the light"), this time is from my "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" fanfiction the "Lake Arc".

Love this poster, especially how she used the quote together with the oooh sooo suggestive image, but with reversed polarity! Aaaaaaaah, massively awesome, Dak-shi!

New Sungkyunkwan Scandal fanfiction "Live Forever II: One" and "Live Forever III: Still Alive"

To Celebrate my returning from Death after a rather long and horrible hospital visit, and my 200 post in this blog, I am hereby presenting the sequel to my Sungkyunkwan Scandal fanfic "Live Forever".

I got some good comments on "Live Forever" due to the extremely sad and tortured nature of the topic, that spurred me to write a continuation which has resulted in two?! fanfics (links go to my AO3 for reading)

and

Headers are below, so you get an idea of the rating, after the fantabulous cover image that my ubercute fan Pandoraylam has made for "Live Forever".

Title: Live Forever II: One
Series: Sungkyunkwan Scandal
Soundtrack: One – Epik High
Spoilers: -
Time frame: -
Summary: What happens after you have given that one thing, only you can give? How does someone receive such a precious gift without changing altogether? And why is it that only when something has been taken from us do we learn to truly appreciate it?
Excerpt: “ Jae Shin's hand went back to the arrow. This arrow had had Jae Shins name on it until Yong Ha had stepped between and changed certain fate ...and how he wished that Yong Ha wouldn't have done that.
Pairings: Moon Jae Shin/Gu Yong Ha
Word count: ~8700
Rating: T (angst, fluff)
Warning:
Other: This is the sequel to “Live Forever”, which I hadn't planned to write in the beginning.
Thanks: To YoonHee, and Anonymous, who thought is was just too sad to to have “Live Forever” end like it did and provided me with the outline.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: Live Forever III: Still Alive
Series: Sungkyunkwan Scandal
Soundtrack: Still Alive – Lisa Miskovsky
Spoilers: -
Time frame: -
Summary: What if the only purpose you have found for your life is refused and the love you have can never be spoken, what will you do? Does a life like that mean only despair or can just being alive mean hope, hope that maybe someday something will change?
Excerpt: “Jae Shin's words were meant to be light and affectionate but they only emphasised the loneliness Yong Ha felt. How could he ever tell this man what was in his heart knowing the implications and the pain that would follow?
Pairings: Moon Jae Shin/Gu Yong Ha
Word count: ~7000
Rating: M (slight depression, fluff, romance, nibbles)
Warning:
Other: This is the epilogue for “Live Forever” and “Live Forever II: One“, which is practically just a sad excuse to have nibbles*
Thanks:

You really wanna kill me with love overflow don't you?

This is incredible!

My super duper fan, Pandoraylam, that did the super ultra great fanart for me for "Warrior Baek Dong Soo" (see this post) has created cover art for my fics (and in super high quality!) - including my "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" fics!

I just have to show you cause I am so impressed and honoured! Here is the one for "Storm":

This is the coolest ever - I really wanted to have something like this but I suck at this kind of artsy stuff so Pandoraylam really is doing me a overwhelming favour!

And showering me in LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE....

Now I can't wait for the rest....(fidget, fidget...)

SKKS Fanfic Community and "Recommended Reading"

I recently joined a fanfiction community "SKK Scandal @ LiveJournal", they have lots of authors making fanfiction about "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" so all who are interested can head over to their page for great entertainment!

I also have added to "Recommended Reading" one of my favourite "weird" pairing fanfic from "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" - XXX/XXX (I will leave the pairing a surprise! ..the very idea is strikingly appalling yet Decodexx pulls it off brilliantly! Every time I read I cannot stop from giggling...) So head over to read it:

Bring back my young ones from "The Moon that Embraces the Sun"

I am bored. Or rather I am bored of "The Moon that Embraces the Sun".

When the show started I was running around naked in my room in excitement that another show from the author of "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" was going to show. I looove, or rather I ABSOLUTELY ADORE "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" and with "The Moon that Embraces the Sun" I was anticipating a new enormous hit, however...

it bores me...somehow nothing is happening, they just keep going around in circles around a pretty boring subject and the chemistry of the main cast is void.

or should I say the chemistry of the main ADULT cast is void while the YOUNG cast was absolutely BRILLIANT! I keep waiting for the flashbacks to them since they are the only thing that keeps me watching.

Jeo Jin Gu (Hwon) blows my socks off - he is so charming that I have added him to "Inappropriate Younger Crush" and his acting is making me ecstatic.
while
Kim Soo Hyun leaves me bland, he is a good actor but he just doesn't measure up to his younger version.

Kim Yoo Jung (Yeon U) is incredible, sweet and cute yet deep and profound. Fantastic acting and her chemistry with Jin Gu is mind blowing.

For the first time I am shipping a non M/M couple!

while
Kim Yoo Jung is just a sad excuse. Just like Frodo in "Lord of the Rings", she only has ONE expression: huge eyes with tears in and frozen mimicry. Also her chemistry with Soo Hyun is so devoid of feeling that I was actually cringing at their more intimate scenes.

Lee Min Ho (Yang Myeung) is incredible as an actor and such a cutie and he really pulled off the cast away prince that still loved his little brother
while
Jung Il Woo should have sticked to "Return of Iljimae" where his melancholia actually did the trick, for I jsut find him spoilt and disagreable (O'boy am I gonna get a lot of flame for this one from all the Il Woo fans...)

Lee Won Gun (Un) was an eye opener (literally, he has gorgeous eyes) pulling off the proud loner without feeling unsocial
while
Song Jae Rim is just a whipped puppy (although he is growing on me a little...)

Siwon (Yeom) isn't really my cup of tea but he really gave a full dimension to his character that his grown counterpart Song Jae Hee seems to have dropped somewhere. Am I also the only one that feels that his relationship with his princess-bride is bordering on inappropriate since he looks like he is at least 30 while she looks (and acts) like 14?

Also, I am going to add that the entire young cast are sooo much more gorgeous than the adults - especially adult Yeom is beyond my understanding...wasn't he suppose to be the most gorgeous guy ever?

Anyway, in addition to this the story is sooooo boring that I find myself doing fast forward sometimes just to skip the entire crying scenes that seems to last for hours...

Couldn't they just have stuck fake beards on the young ones and pretended they had grown? and give me some bromance, please...

Word Challenge "Sungkyunkwan Scandal"

So I did a Word Challenge for "Sungkyunkwan Scandal", I had loads of fun doing it but I lost in the end because I got to engrossed in my story.

(chibi pic from Fearless)

If you don't know what a Word Challenge is then let me illuminate you:

A challenge can be made with specific rules, that are given beforehand.
You will have a set amount of time, or specific guidelines to write after, and if you break one you lose.

In short, it is a writing game!

For example, the rules I used were:

2 random words, same first letter (taken for example from a dictionary)
First word sets theme
Second word must be in text
No more than 300 words per text
10 minutes to write

and I chose my topic to be in short snippets from the life of Gu Yong Ha and Moon Jae Shin and I managed to write six pieces before I lost on the seventh.

So for all hardcore Sungkyunkwan fanfic fans, I put it on my AooO page, HERE!

New poll "Is Yeo Un a seme or uke?" and old poll outcome

Guys, you kill me!

I am changing my poll since the last poll "What subject would you like to see as a Sungkyunkwan fanfiction" is just killing me. The scores are so even its hilarious!

33% would like to see Gu Yong Ha as a girl and immediate implications - I think this could be interesting but somehow I prefer Yong Ha as a boy, it is more forbidden, more naughty...

16% are interested in the possible implications of Yoon Hee/Shik really being a boy - now that would be a Sun Joon/Yoon Shik fic that could very well be mindblowing, I am putting it in the drawer in my mind for future use.

37% would like to see the Jalgeum quartet playing truth or dare - this is a subject that I sooner or later will write and you have just confirmed that almost everyone wants to see what could happen!

37% would like to know what would happen is Yong Ha would actually be the Red Messenger - this is tickling my writers itch, but I lack a scenario now so I am putting in limbo as a possible fic later on.

and only 4% would like to see Goel Oh get dirty with Yoon Hee - I agree to this one, they just don't have that type of chemistry and Goel Oh is too kind to just take her.

So for my new poll I am going to ask the mind-boggling question of "Is Yeo Un a seme or a uke?" (for those of you who don't read Japanese yaoi, seme means the one on top and uke means the one on bottom, as for the implications of that I leave it to Google or your imagination...)

Belive me, this question is harder than it looks...

Posting of my fanfiction in "Archive of Our Own"

Yes, finally I got the invitation for posting my fanfiction in "Archive of Our Own", which is a fan-based archive for any type of fanfiction.

I have started to realise that I needed a larger space for my fanfiction since blogger only allows up to 20 separate pages (guys, I am already closing in on this...). Also, AoOO has searchable tags, so its much easier to look for what type, rating and fandom of fanfic you want.

So, from now on I will keep posting here on my blog, and in AoOO and when my pages run out here in blogger I will only post in AoOO (but don't worry, I will provide links to the fiction here in my blog each time.) I will slowly fill AoOO with the rest of my posted fanfics, but it will probably take while, in the mean time they are still going to be here on my blog.

My page in AoOO is here, or you can just go to AoOO and search for "tameaut" or "Sungkyunkwan Scandal", "Warrior Baek Dong Soo" or "DBSK", to find them (and others too...)

Blown away by "Gu Yong Ha"

This is Song Joong Ki's new role in "Tree with Deep Roots".
He plays the young king Sejong in the first four episodes and he is AMAZINGLY good. I absolutely loved him as Gu Yong Ha in "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" and it is mind blowing to see him appear as the king. He has a completely different personality in the new series, and he pulls it off beautifully. Besides, I can't stop squealing at the idea of Gu Yong Ha with a mustache!!! (He still looks adorable !)

Picture from Thundies Prattle who also has recaps on many dramas and a whole section on Song Joong Ki in this drama.

New poll "What subject would you like to read about in a Sungkyunkwan fanfic?"

I put up a new poll after the results of my last poll came through.

This time I am asking what subject you would like to read about in a Sungkyunkwan fanfic. (Albeit the fact that I have lots more ideas, still, even though I am now more and more allured by Warrior Baek Dong Soo.)

I'll leave it up for a time and then I'll see what triggers your imagination!

New Sungkyunkwan fanfic to celebrate

To celebrate the fact that blogger pulled through I am now putting up my latest fanfic "Save your Goodbye". It is as usual my favourite pairing Jae Shin and Yong Ha, but this time I didn't make it smutty at all - so more people can read it ;) .

Anyway, header is below and the fic is on my AooO page!
____________________________________________________________

Title: Save your Goodbye

Series: Sungkyunkwan Scandal

Soundtrack: Save your Goodbye – Mike Posner

Spoilers: -

Time frame: Entire series (mixed up snippets)

Summary: Sometimes what you call home is not a place, but a person. Sometimes what you call family is not your own blood. And sometimes silence speaks more than words.

Excerpt: The little lamp is flickering and shadows dance across Yong Ha's eyelashes and onto his cheeks. Jae Shin looks more intently as the shadow-play fascinates him and then it strikes him hard in his chest. Those are tears.

Pairings: Moon Jae Shin/Gu Yong Ha

Word count: ~3600

Rating: T (songfic, fluff)

Warning:

Other: The lyrics in “italic are from “Save your Goodbye” from Mike Posner and the conversation in “italic” is original from the series.

Thanks: to knerrir who insisted that songfics are good and that I should do more of them.

twitter drool...

So if you can't see it -> it is Jang Geun Suk (Tae Kyung from "You're beautiful") and Song Joong Ki (Gu Yong Ha from "Sungkyunkwan Scandal") IN BED, TOGETHER! How adorable isn't that - it is like finding a basket of kittens, all for you :D

I can't imagine something smutty with this couple since they are both obviously UKE, but I can drool over the idea of both of them with tail and kitty-ears...

re-twittered from here

Fanfiction "The Hardest of Hearts"

Wohoo! My new provocative fanfic is ready. This time I made it supersmutty with the unlikely (I think not, considering how In Soo is eyeing Yong Ha throughout the entire series...) couple of Ha In Soo/Gu Yong Ha.

This fanfic is dedicated to "Happy Fangirl" - hope you enjoy it! (Ta-meaut hiding in a corner, sweating in panic at the verdict...)

I might continue this fanfic later on, I still have a bunch of ideas but I lack the focus right now, so I'll just leave you with this one for now.

The header is below so you know the outline and please observe the NC-17 warning, for the faint of heart. So please, if you are ready to read it go here in AoOO.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Title: The Fountain Arc I: The Hardest of Hearts

Series: Sungkyunkwan Scandal

Soundtrack: The Fountain - Pendulum

Spoilers: up to episode 12

Time frame: episode 5-12

Summary: How do you show your love, when the only way you know is by inflicting pain. Can you be freed from your handmade prison, by love? Or is there no escape for the unforgiven?

Excerpt:So sweet. In Soo was breathless at the feeling of Yong Ha's lips on his cold skin. There was a fervour in Yong Ha's touch that were leading In Soo to a place beyond his control...and it was so sweet it was almost making him cry...

Pairings: Ha In Soo/Gu Yong Ha

Word count: ~6800

Rating: NC-17 (smut, romance, angst)

Warning: blazing hot, enough to need some tissues to stem the nosebleed

Other: This is a stand alone fic that might be continued if I have the inspiration later on.

I have taken some of the drama scenes and used/changed the original dialogue somewhat to fit my scenario. Dialogue in “italic” is original dialogue from the series, while all other dialogue is mine.

Thanks: This fanfic is dedicated to “happy fangirl” who is a die-hard fan of this “unusual” couple, thus inducing me to want to write more. Also thanks to “Quoteaddict who has a huge compilation of SSKS quotes – they came very handy when I was trying to piece this fanfic together!

New writers

Today I stumbled across two new writers of Sungkyunkwan Scandal fanfiction and I was blown away, I have added them to my "Recommended reading"!

Slashedsilver and Ainosenshi has several really good pieces, albeit not so smutty (but I guess it can be good to alleviate myself from my own hardcore writings sometime ;) ). The pairings are, of course, our very favourites Yong Ha and Jae Shin!

I highly recommend them both!

For my fans

I have recently received lots of comments on my fanfiction and I just want to let you all know how much I appreciate it. Each and every one of you are precious to me.
I will soon reply to everyones comments! It has jsut taken me some time due to my health issues, so please bear with me.

I am also currently working on new stuff (yes, "happy fangirl" - look forward to it!), but it will probably take a little while for it to be perfected so in the mean time you can enjoy some translated passages from the books that Sungkyunkwan Scandal is based on, on this blog: LOSCS - Life of the Sungkyunkwan Scholars.

stripped

quote from James Bond in "Casino Royal"

This quote is one of the most beautiful quotes I know and so fitting Yong Ha after his heartbroken plead to Jae Shin in episode 13 of Sungkyunkwan Scandal

First/Last Love

quote from "Edge of Love"

Just stumbled across this beautiful quote and thought it suited Yong Ha from Sungkyunkwan Scandal so well.
